After a day at the beach and pool, we [My Family] came back to the airport that we had arrived at less than a week ago to take a flight back to Boston.
The departure gate was switched THREE whole times!
First it was at a gate, but that gate was boarding a delayed flight. Added with the late arrival of the aircraft, the crew thought that the airplane was best to park on the tarmac and bus us to the aircraft. However, they found out that the space was unavailable so they switched us to a second gate. Our flight departed some 30-45 minutes behind schedule.
We boarded seeing a few unhappy flight attendants.
The aircraft that we were on was actually an American Airlines A330.-200 It's especially large and only had a load factor of about %70. Now, American uses their small A320s on this 4 hour route. These aircraft have great entertainment systems and would otherwise be used on European routes from the east coast. Luckily for us, the flight time of this flight didn't mean that we wouldn't get free movies! There were tons of choices and it was great! I'm having a flight from Dallas to Calgary in August and I don't know if this will have free movies because it's considered a short 3-4 hour flight to Canada.
I barely took any pictures....
Well anyways, in the photography - which usually is allowed - was banned on "Dominican Ground" meaning that I couldn't film the takeoff... I find this very weird as I don't think that this would actually be a Government rule because I was able to film right after the takeoff and I was able to film the landing of the last flight. Below is a view from my seat!
Just 20 minutes after takeoff, a drink was served.
It was disappointing that there was no snack or even any snacks or food for sale.
At around 3 hours and 30 minutes, we began our descent towards Philadelphia.
Lots of lights at Philadelphia as we land!
Taxiing after another flight to Boston!
